Hare is known to design basic and minimalistic clothing in the most elegant way. For their first runway collection, the brand decided to explore Japanese roots. They gave us a fresh take on the modern Samurai uniform. The show started with a monochromatic palette mostly composed of dark and fall tones. Gradually, just like the seasons, the tones started to shift to more vibrant colors. One look in particular has struck us; a beautiful white and black checked trench coat. It was layered over a low, bright cherry popping red turtleneck sweater with a matching pants. The key to their successful styling is how effortlessly the garments are layered and played with. For instance, the belts have been tied unconventionally around the sleeves to create a sharp and warrior-like silhouette. Also calligraphy has been incorporated to sharpen the edges and make something that was soft and graceful more powerful.
Moreover, the brand is one of the few to add a ”see-now, buy-now" option to their collection, which means that we can buy the label statement pieces now and feel like a warrior.
