Fashion Report

The first model to walk set quite well the tone and the theme of the show. She wore not an insignificant item, a helmet in a formal long coat. It can suggest several connotations, one of protection and security. However, for the couple designers, Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato, it has another sense, a sense of isolation and control, two keywords that appear on their cap. They explained that in this era where social media seemingly expose every aspect of our life, they wished to retract themselves, especially from the fast-paced environment that Tokyo offers. To understand this collection, they had to understand themselves by isolating and disregarding whatever rules the society has imposed upon us. For one thing, there is no such thing as a gender-centred look. In fact, there was a blur whether the model was male or female. Men took their turn in the pant-less trend while the female counterpart wore sharp structural peacoat.

They had to make a point, that when we isolate fashion, there is no limit.
